Braces
Braces are a device used to straighten teeth. There are different types of braces such as traditional metal, ceramic braces or Invisalign.
Braces work by applying steady pressure on your teeth in a specific direction for an amount of time (approximate 2 years).
Every month or two the patient should visit their orthodontist to have the braces adjusted. Once your teeth are completely straightened you may have to wear retainers
to avoid the teeth going to their original position. You may experience some discomfort caused by the wires, brackets and bands that irritate the mouth.
Straight teeth not only help a person’s self-esteem and self-confidence but also contribute to healthy teeth and gums and result in a good bite which improves chewing and jaw placement, preventing physical problems.
